If you think that this site is dedicated entirely to sex offender issues you are wrong. It is actually much, much more than that. My intent is to "wake up" the millions of clue-less American’s out there. I know that most people don’t have the time or even the inclination to research the issues I raise. I don’t blame them. Everyone is busy. No one has the time in our work a day world. Perhaps our lives were designed that way so that we would be ignorant. Too caught up to ever stop and look for the bigger picture. So that corruption and greed could sow it’s seeds without many of us knowing... until it’s too late.

I do focus a lot on the sex offenders, simply because there is so much to cover. For those on the sex offender registry have suffered great losses of constitutional and natural rights. Losses of freedoms and liberties which many of us take for granted. Like the right to privacy, the right to get on with your life after your sentence is served, the right to live where you want and feel safe in your person and in your home.

But sex offenders are different than everyone else right? The are a sub-human group of child murdering pedophiles. All of them, right? Are you sure? What if even one person on there were actually innocent? What if one was a 19 year old had sex with his 15 year old girlfriend and got her pregnant and they later married? What if one was a 13 year old caught playing house with his little sister? Think there aren’t people like that on there? Think again. There are A LOT, and the number grows every day. Think of the stigma. The plastering of your face on a website and on fliers throughout your neighborhood. Maybe you don’t care because it doesn’t affect you personally. Here’s why you should care;

The government says that they "Have a legitimate governmental interest" "In protecting the public".

That is their argument for their justification of doing what they are doing. Of course, it doesn’t end with sex offenders. They were simply the spring board to something much bigger.

Did you know that there are other registries? Like domestic violence registries, DUI registries, child abuse registries, meth-offender registries, HIV registries, and Sexually Transmitted Disease Registries?

At one time, ALL of these registries were strictly for governmental or police purposes only. They were NOT available to the public and yes, this also included the sex offender registry.

Now that congress has convinced us (and legislated) that it’s okay to do what we’re doing to sex offenders, other registries are becoming public too.

There is already an online DUI registry in New Mexico. A Meth-amphetamine user/dealer/abuser registry in Tennessee. In Kansas, their sex offender registry now includes people convicted of manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter. Florida puts prostitutes on their sex offender website and also includes their HIV status.

Ever had a sexually transmitted disease? You might want to start worrying. I interned at womens clinic and for every positive result for an STD a pink card was filled out with the persons name and date of birth and diagnosis and sent to the department of health where it is entered into a registry. One could argue that to stop the spread of these diseases that the government has a "legitimate interest" in making this information available to everyone.

Ever slap your wife or have a cop come to your house for a domestic disturbance? Your name is on a registry and some states have already put those registries online.

Ever get accused of hitting your kid? Your name’s on a registry too. So far that one is still "confidential".

Got HIV/AIDS? You're on a registry. I’m sure that probably sounds like the least of your problems but, "what if" that registry went online?

Apply for an apartment, a job and a background check is done. It will all come back to bite you in the ass.

A country divided cannot stand. These registries are destined to tear this country apart. In the not too distant future everyone’s indiscretions are going to be aired. Posted on-line for all the world to see. There will be the upper class and the lower class. The haves who are angelic enough not to be on a registry or related to some congressman, and the have-nots. Those who ARE on a registry.

The first group will get all the best jobs and homes and make the best money.

The second group will be scrappers. Homeless, jobless, ostracized, judged, and shunned.

Remember this the next time another piece of legislation comes along regarding "tightening the noose" on sex offenders.

And ask yourself.....

Which group will you be in?
