PAGE-N' MARK FOLEY
"BEWARE OF THE WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING"
Florida Republican Congressman Mark Foley resigned this week after sexually explicit e-mails and instant messages between himself and a then 16 year old boy were publicly exposed by ABC News. He has since checked himself into a re-hab program saying he has problems with "alcoholism". Ahem.
Ironically, Child Protection and Safety Issues were "publically" among his highest priority. Mr. Foley was co-chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children’s Caucus, Rubbing elbows very closely with America’s Most Wanted host John Walsh, supporting and sponsoring at least 15 different bills in congress aimed at protecting young people from being harmed, seemingly by those seeking the same sexual gratification as he was. It should be interesting to see how all of this plays out. An FBI investigation is underway but as of this writing no formal criminal charges have been filed.
Perhaps Mr.Foley thought... the laws he was sponsoring were for everyone else {BUT him?}
Maybe he’s special because he is a congressman. Only time will tell. I do know that in REAL LIFE if it were any other average Joe 52 year old and a 16 year old minor he would undoubtedly be facing a lengthy jail sentence with multiple charges, as well as life as a Registered Sex Offender. There are plenty of Congressman Mark Foleys already on the Nation’s Sex Offender Registry. None of which by the way have ever managed to find their way into any Amish schools shooting innocent children to death before taking their own life. But that’s another story.
In closing Mr. Foley, I hope and pray you get all the help you need with your uh, alcoholism problem and hope you are prepared to be civilly committed for the rest of your life to a mental institution. Wasn’t the Civil Commitment for Sex Offenders one of your bills?
